Mobile Manager Printing
Need to print from the pocket pc?
No problem! Mobile Manager offers several printing options. We know that retailers
constantly need to print things. You may need to print tags for your merchandise
or maybe you need new shelf tags. Mobile Manager has built in support for
the label printer approved for use with Quickbooks Point of Sale, the Zebra LP2824.
You can find more information about the label printer here...
More Info
Our tag printing feature offers support for all 5 types of labels supported in the
Quickbooks Point of Sale Software. In addition to supporting all of the existing
formats, we allow users to choose the symbology for the bar code. Most retailers
use the industry standard, UPC's for their bar code labels. We also allow
users to represent the Quickbooks item number or ALU in a bar code formats.
The best part....our UPC tags are real UPC bar codes. The point of sale system
only prints tags as 2of5 or 3of9 which can cause incompatibility issues with external
vendor systems(we've found most external systems are UPC based). Mobile Manager
not only helps you print labels, it improves your bar code labels by printing true
UPC bar codes.
What about Sales Receipts and Work Orders?
Mobile Manager prints these too! Are you a road warrior that is constantly
on the go? Do you need a true line buster with the ability to ring up items,
swipe credit cards and print receipts? If so...you have come to the right
place. Mobile Manager offers support for a variety of belt printers.
Users with compatible portable printers can quickly and easily print the details
of work orders or sales receipts. Print as many copies as you like, add a
signature block, or use e-receipts...whatever you need!
Which printers do we recommend?
For in store tag printing we recommend the Zebra LP2824 tag printer. We also work
with several wireless Zebra mobile tag printers. Zebra wireless printers must
support the EPL programming language.
For user that need portable receipt or work order printing, our preferred device is the Citizen CMP10 BT belt printer. This unit offers
a magnetic card reader used to read credit cards and it also offers great printing in a small rugged portable package. Our software also works with several
belt printers from Zebra(printer must support blue tooth and the EPL language).
In addition to the Zebra and Citizen printers we have a generic print driver included
which works with a variety of generic blue tooth enabled portable printers.
How do I print tags from the pocket pc?
It couldn't be easier. In the item maintenance module, simply scan an item and choose
the action menu option, "Print Tag". If you would like to print multiple copies
of the tag, simply choose the action menu, "Print Copies". A screenshot is
shown below.
What do the bar code tags look like?
Below are examples of tags that were printed using Mobile Manager.
There are two tags, one with the I2of5 format that you may recognize from the
point of sale system. The lower tag is an example of Mobile Manager's
UPC to bar code feature.
